At CAVISA we are committed to achieving the highest quality in a raw material of European origin through the principle of continuous improvement based on:

To comply with all this, we have an integrated management system (under ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and UNE 22480 norms) that certifies our mineral extraction and our kaolin and micas production.
Our main objective is to develop our mining activity efficiently with quality as a differentiating element, so we are pioneers in the implementation of sustainable mining management systems.
Commitment to the Environment
Our commitment to the environment is a priority, being one of the fundamental objectives for the company. To this end, we guide our efforts on two pillars:
- Continuous improvement of environmental behaviour
- The prevention of pollution arising from our activities
How do we do that?
- Implementing an environmental management system (ISO 14001 and a Sustainable Mining Management): equipped with economic, technical and human investments necessary to achieve its correct and effective implementation in order to minimize or eliminate environmental impacts.
- Planning the training of staff: knowledge, awareness and awareness of workers in the field of Quality and Protection of the Environment, as well as in the social commitment to the environment to which we belong.
UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015
Since 2000 we have been certified by the ISO-9001 standard with the aim of maintaining the recognition of the quality and prestige that our products already had in the different markets. Currently adapted to the 2015 version, it is the fundamental tool for the control of our processes and products.
ISO14001
Through the implementation of this ISO 14000, from Caolines de Vimianzo we want to show our commitment to the protection of the environment.
Sustainable mining, mineralurgical and metallurgical management certificate (UNE 22.480 and UNE 22.470)
For the extraction of ore and Mica and Kaolins production. We are the first Spanish company to certify us in UNE 22480:2019.

Safety first. At CAVISA we are firmly committed to the Prevention of Occupational Risks, enthusing for the safety and health of our colleagues and the environment. We have an External Prevention Service and continuous advice on Health and Safety issues as well as monitoring the health of our workers.

At CAVISA we do not hire minors. We firmly comply with child protection standards, which are assessed and shared across the EU. Nor do we entrust commissions to persons sentenced to forced labour.
Costa da Morte Commitment
In Caolines de Vimianzo, aware of the importance of our activity in the economic and social Industry of the region, we are committed to the priority in the hiring of employment and services to companies from our area. Proof of this are the more than 50 people, including the technical staff, originally from the Costa da Morte, and 17 subcontracting companies that collaborate day by day with us.
