Paper

Basic components for paper elaboration

Mineral fillers are used as a paper loading and coating. They fill the interstitials left on the paper by cellulose fibers. It brings whiteness to the final product and is used in higher quality papers to improve printing characteristics avoiding ink runs. It serves as a coated high-load paper, achieving shiny and very smooth surfaces. Reduces porosity.

At CAVISA we extract raw materials directly by producing high quality fillers. We have different names of kaolins and micas for this market:

Product Denomination Industrial use
CAOLIN P-30, G-30M Filler Paper
MICAVI M-600, M-650, M-700 Paper coatings
Kaolin

Kaolin

It is a mineral of natural origin, whitish appearance, clay, inert, of great thermal resistance, used in many sectors as filler or as an excipient, which is part of the group of industrial minerals. It is distinguished from other clays mainly by its whiteness, whiteness and easy dispersion in water and other liquids.

Moscovite Mica

Moscovite Mica

It is a mineral belonging to a large group of micas, alumina silicates, in particular with presence of potassium, high thermal resistance, dielectric and considerable aspect ratio, which gives it highly appreciated properties.
