Contributing properties in the elaboration of polymers
Mineral fillers are mainly used in polymer mixtures (polymeric compounds or master mixtures) to obtain special technical properties and reduce the cost of formulas.
CAVISA supplies special mineral loads to producers of polymeric compounds and master mixtures that improve the mechanical properties of final products.
At CAVISA we extract raw materials directly by producing high quality fillers. We have different names of kaolins and micas for this market:
Product | Denomination | Industrial use |
---|---|---|
CAOLIN | G-35M, G-30M | Plastics |
MICAVI | M-10, M-20, M-150 | Plastics |
MICAVI | M-300K, M-300 | Composites |

Kaolin
It is a mineral of natural origin, whitish appearance, clay, inert, of great thermal resistance, used in many sectors as filler or as an excipient, which is part of the group of industrial minerals. It is distinguished from other clays mainly by its whiteness, whiteness and easy dispersion in water and other liquids.

Moscovite Mica
It is a mineral belonging to a large group of micas, alumina silicates, in particular with presence of potassium, high thermal resistance, dielectric and considerable aspect ratio, which gives it highly appreciated properties.
